Business Analyst
Halifax, NS

The Business Analyst is responsible for the support of implementations of various IT solutions. Working with management, technical staff, and the business units to develop and implement business solutions for our affiliate companies.

This work will have a strong emphasis on enabling and improving business processes and will include the following:
• Requirements analysis, fit/gap analysis, solution design, test plans (functional and user), individual and group training, implementation plans, documentation, and project management (small to medium size projects).

Education and Experience Requirements:
• University Degree (Business, Engineering or Computer Science preferred)
• Proven track record leading small to medium size IT projects
• Experience in IT business analysis supporting processes in a project based industrial manufacturing and support environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Presentation and team facilitation experience

Technical Experience or knowledge in the following areas would be an asset:
• Experience with JD Edwards ERP software in any of the following areas: Finance, Sales, Inventory, Purchasing, Advanced Pricing, Warehousing, Service Billing, Transportation, Plant and Equipment Maintenance and Manufacturing.
• Knowledge of business processes related to manufacturing and logistics
• Industry certifications such as APICS , PMP, Six Sigma
• Microsoft products, especially Visio, Project and PowerPoint
• Process improvement, in LEAN or Six Sigma
