Relationship/Account Manager Sudbury 73ss1103 Independent Business & Agriculture Relationship Manager C (Fort McMurray Alberta) A experience in Canadian banking or financial industry is preferred. Reporting to a Senior Sales Manager, the Relationship Manager C (RM C) works with a team of Independent Business (IB) & Agriculture (Ag) associates and business partners, and is responsible for increasing and retaining business based on annual growth targets, and increasing the profitability of a specified portfolio of independent business and agricultural customers in our Fort McMurray Alberta branch. You will find success based on your expertise to: • Grow the existing book of business by proactively sourcing new sales opportunities through networking, proactive marketing, acting upon referrals, and participating in business and community activities. • Retain the existing book of business and further deepen the banking relationships with current customers by serving as a main point of contact for their business banking needs. • Create a highly collaborative working relationship with both IB & Ag teammates and the Head Office Credit team to ensure both customer expectations and our company risk management expectations are met. • Build relationships with both IB & Ag associates and associates in other lines of business by participating in team meetings, by conducting joint sales calls, by referring to other lines of business and by maintaining a presence in assigned branches in support of our goal to deliver innovative solutions to the IB & Ag customers of Alberta through a team of associates dedicated to living the Alberta entrepreneurial spirit • Apply credit principles and best practices when underwriting to ensure our company risk tolerance is adhered to. • Administration of existing connections including renewals, expired credits, initiating and following up on arrears and debt recovery to ensure our organization continues to lend in a sound manner. This position is a sales role responsible for a portfolio of independent business and agriculture customers with deposits over $250,000 and borrowings over $500,000 supporting 40 to 70 customers whose deposits and borrowings are typically over $1,600,000. The incumbent within this role will provide innovative solutions that help make their customers successful by understanding their customer’s business in order to identify and meet the credit, deposit, and value add service needs of their customers. On a daily basis the incumbent of this role partners with both IB & Ag associates and associates within other lines of business to provide their customers with appropriate solutions that meet their needs. The incumbent will also interact with Credit and Operations to ensure ATB’s risk management, regulatory, and operational qualifications are met. . The associate has the support of other teammates and their sales leader when required. Position responsibilities: As the ideal candidate you possess: • Post secondary education in business or related equivalent experience • Company Independent Business & Agriculture Accreditation Level I, II and III or equivalent • Company Credit Courses or equivalent • Min three – five years commercial lending experience to small and medium sized enterprises • Experience analyzing SME financial data and the expertise to prepare and structure credit recommendations • Min three – five years experience as a Relationship Manager B or equivalent • Proven expertise to generate new business, meet established targets • Strong negotiation and relationship building skills So what can our organization offer you?
